HPE – Discuss and ShotPut

I revised and learnt skills for discuss and shot put.

First I learnt a range of skills for discus. Discus is a type of sport, but I have to roll the discus. The body has to be on ground height, point finger to target, and discus on the shelf. For example: the discus has to be rolled on the ground.

Next I revised a range of skills for shot put. Shotput is a sport, but the ball has a lot of weight to the ball. The shot put is pushing the ball using three fingers to hold the ball from the middle of your ear to neck, then use the other hand to aim where you’re pushing the ball, and twist your body to put more force into the shot.

I enjoyed this task because I learnt and revised a range of skills for discus and shotput. I need to improve on keeping my body at ground height. I did well on pushing the shot put.

Cybersmart

Being harmful digitally is cyberbullying, black mailing, and other things that are being mean digitally. If a person digitally harms someone on email or other texting apps, the fine might be over $50,000.

10 principles help people if they’re getting cyberbullying or something else that causes harm digitally. One of the principles is. A digital communication should not incite or encourage an individual to commit suicide. This can lead the person to get a $50,000 fine.

If an individual gets harmed digitally the person who digitally harmed the person will get a $50,000 fine. For example: a person emails a person and threatens them or puts a photo and adds things that make the person bad. The person who emailed gets fined.

Te Reo

I learnt how to talk in maori for 8 – 10 minutes.

First I practiced my numbers up to 10 in maori. If I pronounced a number wrong I would have to restart from 1.

Next in groups we needed to speak only maori for 8 mintues. If we spoke english or said a word in english then that would be a slip. My group had 2 slips.

I enjoyed this task because I learnt how to say new Maori words. I need to improve on not saying english words. I did well on saying Maori words.

History Of Tv

Tvs has been around for a very long time. There are many types of tvs such as Sony, Panasonic, Apple, Dell and many more.

The first tv was made in 1922. It had a light bulb at the top to make it work.

The first tc show that was aired was in 1926. This show was about the news. People would come just to see the first episode to be aired.

The first tv that had colour was in 1953. people could see what things actually looked like in colour instead of black.

Tvs has been around for a very long time.

Timing Our Runs

We mesured and timed eachothers running from different distance. Mesuring is finding out how long somthing is.

We can mesure distace in milermeters, centermeters, meters, kilometers and many more. We can mesure time in seconds, minutes, hours, days and many more.

Timing and distance can help us.

Informal v Formal

Informal is talking more casually. We should only talk informally to our friends, Family and people we know really well. Formal is talking more politely to people. We should talk formally to people that are important for example. The prime minister, A Boss.

The things that are different about them is that formal talking is that they say words very differently. For example formal talk uses words like develop instead of make machinery instead of  machine. These words are from Tractors. Informal words use words like better instead of stronger and make instead of produce. These words are from Tysgaru Shamisen.

Informal is talking more casually. Formal is talking more politely to people.

Rail

I learnt how rails benifit people and what a steak holder is.

First I learnt what a steak holder is. A steakholder is a person who creates somthing to invest in it expecting lots a money.

Next I learnt how trains benifit people. Trains benifit people by less traffic. less people driving around. No traffic lights on the train track so that means no traffic.

Then I wrote 10 facts about trains.

I enjoyed this activity because I learnt how rails benifit people and what a steak holder is. I did well at thinking about 10 facts about trains. I need to improve more on how do trains benifit trains.

Riding Bike

I told a story about a time I was brave.

First I thought about a time that I did something for the very first time. My story was about me riding a bike without my training wheels.

Next I wrote about it. My story is. I was riding my bike then my brother said “Riley you should try riding without your training wheels”. I was thinking about it and then I chose to ride without my training wheel because it looked cool. So I unscrewed my training wheels and put my helmet, shin and arm pads on. Then I told myself that it is just like walking on a big beam going across  a mountain to another mountain. Then I  peddle I noticed that I was too afraid to turn so I just got ready to fall over. Then I crashed right into the bush. Then I got up and tried again and I said that it’s like riding a scooter so I peddled and I started turning I felt so cool that I could ride without my training wheels.

I enjoyed this activity because I told a story about a time I was brave. I did well at remembering a time that I did something for the first time. I need to improve on telling detail.

Shotput

I learnt the techniques for shot put.

First I learnt the how to hold a shotput. To hold a shotput I need use index my middle finger and my ring finger. I need to use those fingers and holding the ball under my ear.

Next I learnt the stance for shotput. To do the stance I need go sideways.

Then I went into groups of 2s and started throwing the ball to eachother.

I enjoyed this activity because I learnt the techniques for shot put. I did well at throwing the ball. I need to improve on my stance.

Pros Cons

Pros are advantages that diferent objects have. Cons are disadvantages that diferent objects have for example. if I was playing on a park the pro is that it’s fun to play on but the cons are somtimes people get hurt.

A galley is made by egyhption that are powered by people using paddles to row. A cruise ship is a modern ship powered by gasoline that uselly have pools, waterparks and warterslides. A pro for the galley is that it can hold 200 to 350 tons but the con is that its really slow becuase the people get tired fast. A pro about the cruise ship is that is has so much fun things to do but the cons are that they cost too much money.

Ms White has challenged us. If we had 10,000 dollars would we rather spend 8000 dollars on a criuse ship to go from USA to Mexico and have 2000 left to spend in Mexico or would we rather spend 500 dollars on a galley to go from USA to Mexico and spend 9500 dollars in Mexico. I would rather pick the galley because I get to spend more money in Mexico than spend 2o00 dollars in Mexico.
