In this activity we found different cybersmart vocabulary using a word search. These words are:
Kawa of care,
Being Cybersmart
Smart Media,
Smart Relationships,
Smart Values
I enjoyed this activty because I learnt the meanings of different cybersmart words.
LI: To be cybersmart around our chrombooks
The whole reason that the Kawa of Care even exists, and your school and your whānau work together is that so you can use a netbook for your learning. Learning is a big part every school and keeping your netbook safe can help you keep your learning up to date. One of the most important rules is to keep foods and drinks away from your chromebook. This will break your netbook if you spill a drink or drop crums in between your keyboard.

Commenting is a conversation about learning in the blog. There are many steps to make a decent comment. Those are greetings, Positive comments, Helpful comments, Thoughtful comments, making connections, adding more information and asking questions.
The greeting is to start that comment.
The positive comment is to say something nice about that blog.
The helpful comment is what to improve on the blog.
The thoughtful comment is to say another nice thing about the comment.
To make a connection is to see if the blogger and the reader did the same thing.
Adding more information is just adding more on what to improve on.
The ask a question is just to ask the question to the blogger.
Commenting can improve writing.
Being harmful digitally is cyberbullying, black mailing, and other things that are being mean digitally. If a person digitally harms someone on email or other texting apps, the fine might be over $50,000.
10 principles help people if they’re getting cyberbullying or something else that causes harm digitally. One of the principles is. A digital communication should not incite or encourage an individual to commit suicide. This can lead the person to get a $50,000 fine.
If an individual gets harmed digitally the person who digitally harmed the person will get a $50,000 fine. For example: a person emails a person and threatens them or puts a photo and adds things that make the person bad. The person who emailed gets fined.
We learnt 2 types of kawa of care rules.
First I learnt what the school responseability is. The three important ones are monitoring use the school monitors student blogs and emails for inappropriate. Loan Devices the school has loan chromebooks for students to use when their chromebook is in repair or left at home. Warranty the warranty is 3 years and valid if the kawa of care has been followed. A normal Warranty is 2 year..
Next I learnt the responseability use is. The three main ones are. School Login Only we should only use our school accounts in our computers. It is also 13 + to make a google accounts. Stay Cybersmart we should follow cybersmart to keep ourselves and our family safe. Gaming and Other Sites we should not use gambling sites or other small sites that has lots of ads that can put viruses inside of our computer.
Then we did 2 quizez to see if we know the rules.
I enjoyed this activty because I learnt 2 types of kawa of care rules. I did well on memrozing the rules for the quiz. I need to improve on following some of these rules.
