LI: To design our own matariki star.
In this activity we designed our own matariki star in our own way. My design was half moon and half sun. I chose this design because the moon represents Papatuanuku and how he shines bright every night. The sun represents the mana and power that goes into every Haka and Waiata. 4 got chosen to be combined into 1 amazing matariki star. This design gets put on a big wooden matariki star.
I enjoyed this activity because I created a Matariki star that has maori myths and legends.
