Cultures

I learnt my classmates cultures.

First I found my friend and learnt his cultures. His cultures are New Zealand, Samoan, Cook Island. He celebrates christmas. He dances at birthdays.

Next I found a person that I don’t uaslly work with. His cultures are Indian, Scottish. He celebrates all those by dancing.

I enjoyed this activity because I learnt defferent kinds of cultures. I need to improve celebrating more holidays. I did well on making friends.

Writing – Dealing With Covid

I learnt to write a story for the film festavil.

First I thought of a idea to write for a story.

Next we wrote c. The orientation is where, who, what and a hook. My orientation is. Michael has no idea what covid-19 is.

Then I wrote a problem and a events. my problem and events are. Micheal does not wear a mask, does not hand sanitize , closes all the doors and windows  because it is too cold. Michael gets covid and still does not know what covid is. Michael gets sent home and he thinks he has the flu or the cold but he realises that he can’t taste or smell anything so he thinks that he has superpowers and tells his parents about it. He gets better and returns back to school.

“Did you know there is a virus called Covid 19” students said “a computer virus?” Micheal said. “No it is a virus that has many symptoms such as the loss of smell, loss of taste, sore throat and many more” students said. Micheal listens and tries to think why he got covid 19 in the first place. He realises that he did not wear a mask, did not hand sanitize, and did not open all the doors and windows. 

Lastly I wrote my solution. My solution is. Now Micheal wears a mask, hand sanitizes, and opens all the doors and windows. Now Micheal understands why to wear a mask and sanitise so he can stay safe.

I enjoyed this activity becuse I wrote a story for the film festivil. I did well at getting ideas. I need to improve making more sence.

Maths Tumble

We learnt to follow a tumble and what activity we are on.

First we did the fractions. I did the fraction one third. we put the name of the fraction, the fraction and the dots on how many are in my fraction.

The next rotation was the teacher. Ms White test us to see how many 2d and 3d shapes we knew. Ms White also taught us a hack on a caucalator to get the angle.

The next rotation is Follow up the follow up was we had to draw the shape and write the dicripction.

The next rotation was basic facts boxes.

The last rotation was sequence. We rolled a dice and we wrote the numbers down in 2’s 3’s 5’s and 10’s.

I enjoyed this activty becasue I learnt geometry. I did well on naming the shapes. I need to improve on learning more shapes.

How To Attribute

Follow these steps and you will know how to attribute an image.

  1. Find a image and to atrribute.
  2. Add the title of the photo.
  3. Add the owners name to the photo
  4. Add where the photo came from
  5. Add the licence.

If the owner says not to atrribute. Attribute the image anyways because its polite and to add credit to the owner.

Making Coneections

I learnt how to make connections.

First we made a connections with the book to myself.

I enjoyed this activity because I  learnt how to make connections. I did well at making connection with the book to myself. I need to improve on making more connections

Dodge Ball

I learnt how to play dodgeball.

First coach Lucas explained the rules for us in jedi dodgeball. I thought jedi dodgeball was easy but then it got harder and harder because the opposite team always got out the jedi. The jedi is the most important player because the jedi could tag the eliminated players with a pool noodle.  

Next we played elimination dodgeball. I thought this game was easy because if I hit someone that person is out until the game ends.

Then we played traditional dodgeball. This game was very hard and easy because if there are 2 ways of getting out the first way is just getting hit with the ball. The second way is if someone catches the ball. Also if someone caught the ball the elimination teammate can get back in.

I enjoyed this activity because I played dodgeball. I need to improve on aiming better. I did well at catching the ball.

Find the Gap

I learnt to find the gap in algebra.

First we figured out the question. We made a table to try to figure out how many sticks or squares or Level. We tried to figure out the gap between the square, Level or square.

Next we tried to figure out questions 1 and 2. Then after Mr Wong checked with answers to see if we were correct or incorrect.

Then we figured out the rest of the questions.

I enjoyed this activity because I learnt to find a gap. I need to improve figuring out what the question is.I did well at finding the gap betwen the puzzles.

 

Sharks Presentation

I presented a shark slide show. Group 6 did this presentation with me. We did this slide show to use the skills we were using.

First we talked about the introduction slide. David talked about who the author was and the size of sharks that could come in. Next it was my turn to talk. I talked about the different kinds of fins on a shark.

Next we talked about the information slide. Densyn Zai Lett talked about where sharks live, How many shark species live in the world. What kinds of sharks live in different groups talked about what countershading For example counter a shark has a dark top and a white belly.

Then we read our group’s opinion about sharks. Genesis talked about bad things about sharks for example Zai Lett believed that sharks are bad because if a shark smells blood the shark will try to navigate its way to where the blood is coming from. Matheus talked about the good things about sharks. For example I believed that sharks are good because they could hold cures for diseases.

We also got our results. My group got a score of merit which means our group got our layout correct and our information correct.

I enjoyed this activity because my group got a score of merit. I think our group needs to improve on looking at the audience. Eye contact is mostly maintained. Standing still without fidgeting. All spoken parts are audible and using Body language. I did well on moving away from the screen.
